We believe that the story of India's uniformed personnel should never be limited only to moments of conflict or remembrance. The mission of The Honour Post is to honour those who serve, recognise courage, report important developments, preserve the stories of those who made the supreme sacrifice and build a lasting record of India's military, police and security history. The Honour Post is building a growing digital archive dedicated to India's military, police and security history. Our long-term objective is to create an organised and accessible record through which readers can discover personnel by name, rank, regiment, battalion, unit, force, historical event, location, date or gallantry award.
Our archival work includes Bravehearts by Unit, Jammu & Kashmir Police Wall of Honour, CRPF Wall of Honour, gallantry award records, military memorial projects, unit histories, battalion histories and other specialised collections. These archives are continuously being researched, organised and expanded.
We see this archive as a long-term responsibility. Records concerning individual service personnel and historical events can be scattered across different publications and archives, making them difficult to find over time. The Honour Post approaches military, police and security-related reporting with particular care because these subjects involve real people, historical records and, in many cases, the memories of families and comrades.
