Havildar Zubair Ahmad was a dedicated soldier of the Indian Army's 13 Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry, remembered for his unwavering commitment, discipline, and devotion to the nation. Throughout his military career, he served with professionalism and courage, earning the respect of his fellow soldiers and commanders alike.
While deployed in the Trehgam sector of Kupwara district, Havildar Zubair Ahmad continued to perform his duties in one of the country's most demanding operational environments. His dedication reflected the highest traditions of the Indian Army and the proud legacy of the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry.
On 15 December 2025, during operational activity in the Putaha Khan Gali area, Havildar Zubair Ahmad sustained critical injuries in a landmine/explosive blast. He was immediately evacuated to the Military Hospital at Drugmulla, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day while serving the nation.
His sacrifice stands as a reminder of the dangers faced daily by Indian soldiers, even away from direct combat. Havildar Zubair Ahmad's courage, dedication, and selfless service will forever remain an inspiration to future generations.
