ASI Abdul Gaffar of the Jammu and Kashmir Police was a Braveheart who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the difficult years of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Serving in Pulwama, Abdul Gaffar carried out his duties with courage and devotion to service at a time when police personnel across the Valley faced serious threats while protecting the people and maintaining security.
As an Assistant Sub-Inspector, he served the Jammu and Kashmir Police with dedication and became one of the many police personnel who gave their lives in the service of the nation.
The Final Sacrifice
On 15 September 1995, ASI Abdul Gaffar made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
His name remains part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police roll of honour, remembering the Bravehearts who stood firm in the face of terrorism and gave their lives in the service of the nation.
