Connecting With the Next Generation, 185 Battalion CRPF Hosts Students and Staff of Government Girls HSS KHREW
Students in Pulwama Learn About CRPF’s History, Values, Operational Role and Contribution to National Security
The 185 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) hosted students and staff of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khrew, Pulwama, as part of an outreach initiative aimed at fostering greater interaction between the force and the younger generation.
The interaction, held on September 26, provided the students an opportunity to learn about the history and legacy of the CRPF, besides gaining an understanding of its ethos, core values and operational role.
During the programme, the students were also briefed about the equipment used by the force and its responsibilities in the field.
The interaction highlighted the CRPF’s contribution to national security and nation-building, while providing students with a closer understanding of the responsibilities associated with service in the force.
The engagement also offered an opportunity for the students and CRPF personnel to interact and strengthen awareness about the role of the Central Armed Police Force.
Such youth-oriented outreach programmes provide students with an opportunity to learn about India’s uniformed forces, their institutional history and the values associated with service and duty.
The 185 Battalion CRPF’s initiative reflects efforts to strengthen its connect with local communities and encourage greater awareness among young people about the role of security forces in the country.
