Constable Abdul Majeed of the Jammu and Kashmir Police made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 15 September 2000 in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, during the difficult years of terrorism in the region.
Serving with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Abdul Majeed carried out his duties at a time when police personnel across Jammu and Kashmir faced grave risks while protecting the people and maintaining security.
His name remains part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police roll of honour, remembering the Bravehearts who gave their lives in the line of duty.
