Constable Amrit Lal Mishra of the 87th Battalion, Border Security Force, made the supreme sacrifice on 15 September 2001 while fighting terrorists at Gauri Kund, Jammu and Kashmir.
Born on 1 April 1967, Constable Mishra served with the BSF during the difficult years of counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir. On 15 September 2001, he fell in the line of duty while confronting terrorists at Gauri Kund.
