Constable D. Pratap Singh of the 179 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force, made the supreme sacrifice on 29 September 2009 while responding to terrorist fire at Sopore Bus Stand in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir.
He sustained severe injuries during the incident and later succumbed while being evacuated.
Born on 8 May 1986 at Aluvilai, Pathiramangalam, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Constable D. Pratap Singh served the nation as a member of the CRPF.
