Head Constable Gokul Singh of the 6 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force, made the supreme sacrifice on 29 September 1992 during an anti-terrorist operation at Enayatpura, Majitha, Punjab.
Despite sustaining severe injuries, he continued to fight and warned his team, displaying courage and devotion to duty under fire.
His gallantry was recognised with the Police Medal for Gallantry, awarded posthumously.
