Major Vijay Singh Ahlawat was born on 1 November 1978 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He served with 3 Rajput of the Rajput Regiment and was deployed in Assam on counter-insurgency duties.
Major Ahlawat was serving in the Kokrajhar area as part of the Army's operational deployment. His service placed him in a challenging environment where soldiers carried out duties in difficult terrain and operational conditions.
The Final Sacrifice
On 15 September 2017, Major Vijay Singh Ahlawat met with a serious road accident while returning from an operational deployment in Kokrajhar, Assam. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries on the same day.
Major Ahlawat made the supreme sacrifice while serving with distinction in an operational area. His dedication to duty and service to the nation remain a part of his enduring legacy.
