Lance Naik Raj Kishore Singh of 6 Bihar made the supreme sacrifice on 30 September 2016 after sustaining injuries in the terrorist attack on the Army's brigade headquarters at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir on 18 September 2016.
Raj Kishore Singh was among the soldiers injured in the attack and was evacuated for treatment. He was subsequently admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi.
Despite treatment, he succumbed to his injuries on 30 September 2016. His martyrdom took the number of Army personnel who had made the supreme sacrifice in the Uri attack to 19.
Raj Kishore Singh belonged to Barahara block in Bhojpur district of Bihar. He came from a military family, with his late father Vishnu Singh having served in the Army. His brothers Ashok Singh and Beni Madhav Singh also served in the Army.
He is remembered as one of the soldiers of 6 Bihar who made the supreme sacrifice following the Uri attack.
