THE HONOUR POST
SPO Mohammad Maroof of Jammu and Kashmir Police made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 15 September 2008 during an encounter with terrorists at Tararan Wali Dhok in the Surankote area of Poonch district.
A joint Army and Police operation was underway in the Tararan Wali forest belt when terrorists opened fire on the security forces. Mohammad Maroof was among the security personnel who made the supreme sacrifice during the encounter.

On 15 September 2008, SPO Mohammad Maroof laid down his life while confronting terrorists at Tararan Wali Dhok, Surankote, Poonch.
