Sub Inspector Paritosh Mondal of 36 Battalion, Border Security Force, made the supreme sacrifice on 28 September 2019 while performing operational duty in Jammu and Kashmir.
On 28 September 2019, Sub Inspector Paritosh Mondal and two Constables were performing advance naka duty near Aik Nullah at BOP Jai Kishan when a sudden flash flood created a powerful water current.
In the difficult circumstances, Sub Inspector Paritosh Mondal helped save the two Constables. While attempting to move towards safety, he was swept away by the strong current.
