Gulshand Ara is remembered among the Bravehearts of the Jammu & Kashmir Police who gave their lives in the service of the nation.

Her memory continues to be honoured in Ganderbal. In 2022, Government Boys Primary School, Bamloora, was renamed after Martyr Gulshan Ara during a district administration tribute programme held in honour of martyrs. Family members of the martyrs were also honoured during the programme.
