Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Maqbool Ganie of Jammu and Kashmir Police is remembered among the personnel reported to have made the supreme sacrifice in 1997. His name and association with Baramulla have been identified, but the specific circumstances of his martyrdom could not be independently established from the available online records.
His service deserves to be remembered with dignity, while the details of his life and sacrifice deserve the careful verification that every Braveheart's story warrants.
