Constable Reji M. of 143 Battalion CRPF made the supreme sacrifice on 4 October 2007 in Manipur.
On 3 October, troops of 143 Battalion CRPF were ambushed near Keithemnambi in Senapati district while proceeding from the battalion headquarters towards a company location.
Reji M. was among the troopers who fought from the front and sustained serious injuries. Five of the six injured personnel made the supreme sacrifice on 3 October, while Reji M. succumbed to his injuries on 4 October 2007.
