The Incident
On 5 October 2020, troops of 110 Battalion CRPF were deployed for Road Opening Party duty near milestone 280.6, close to the Kadlabal underpass road at Nowgam, Jammu and Kashmir, to safeguard the movement of security forces.

Terrorists hiding inside a nearby brick factory and occupying advantageous positions opened indiscriminate fire on the CRPF troops.

The troops quickly regrouped and retaliated with targeted fire, forcing the terrorists to flee from the area.
