Sub-Inspector Imtiaz Ahmed Mir of the Jammu and Kashmir Police made the supreme sacrifice on 28 October 2018 in Pulwama district. Serving with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), he was targeted by terrorists while travelling in his private vehicle in the Wahibugh area, near Rumshi Nalla.
Mir was on his way to meet his parents when the attack took place. He was abducted and subsequently shot by the terrorists.
