Deputy Commandant R. S. Rathore of the 30th Battalion, Border Security Force, made the supreme sacrifice on 2 November 1990 at Moreh in Manipur.
The memorial records his sacrifice in the course of the battalion's operations against armed insurgent groups in the region. His service remains part of the history of the BSF's commitment to duty in challenging operational environments.
